Snowdonia is a game fisherman’s paradise, with more than 100 lakes all with their own distinct character and setting. Excellent river fishing is also available on various rivers throughout the region, which are known for their wild brown trout, salmon and sea trout. And if it’s sea fishing which takes your fancy then you are well catered for as excellent shore and sea fishing is available along most of the stunning coastline whilst charter boat fishing can be organised from many of the harbour villages and marinas.
Rhyd Ddu Outdoor Centre & Bunkhouse is the perfect base for enjoying a Snowdonia Fishing Trip, with the lakes of Llyn Cwellyn, Llyn Nantlle and Llyn Dywarchen only a short distance from the bunkhouse. Afon Gwyrfai and Afon Llyfni are also nearby as is the Blue Flag beach of Dinas Dinlle.
The local pub in the village sells fishing permits for the Seiont Gwyrfai and Llyfni fishing society, which will allow you to fish on the local lakes and rivers.
